I will never
forget the overwhelming emotions I felt when I heard
Bryanna's first gulp as she exited into the world. I
hadn't even laid eyes on her for the first time and I was

We were in
Disneyland last summer. Taylor loved getting hugs from all
the characters! We met Pluto in Toon Town and he gave her
a big kiss on her nose with his big dog tongue. She
laughed and the next thing I know she is licking his nose
back! I tried hard not to think of where that nose had
been... Anyway, later that day at dinner she told her
uncles about licking Pluto's nose. They asked her what his
nose tasted like. She looked right at them and said," It tasted liked chicken!" Submitted by Lisa, San

I was trying
really hard to get pregnant. Matthew had decided a
few months prior that he wanted a baby, so he told us we
need to find him one. I had miscarried twice trying,
and after awhile, we decided to take a break. A
month went by after we had made this decision and we took
Matthew for his swimming lesson. We overheard him
telling his teacher that his mommy had a baby boy in her
tummy. When she asked us if we knew something she
didn't we laughed and said we couldn't figure out where
Matt got the idea. Well, 3 days later while visiting
my college roommates, I took a test on a whim. Yup,
it was positive. We told Matthew and he shrugged his
shoulders and said he knew that already. A week
later, I was told I was either miscarrying or having an
ectopic and to expect a d & c the following weekend.
Matthew noticed me crying a lot and we finally had to tell
him the baby was sick. He spoke to my belly,
"Baby, you are going to be fine. Mommy will
take you to the doctor, you will get medicine and you will
be fine." Guess what? I was! Since
Matthew had been so sure of everything, we asked him to
name the baby. He chose Gregory and he is the best
big brother! Submitted by Joy, Coconut Creek FL

came up with RSV when she was only 2 months old. Shelby
and I were in the hosp. for 5 days 5 nights. When we
finally got to come home, Shelby had to have O2 for the
next 2 weeks. Shelby who had been so upset for the last
week, knew that we were home and was so happy I set her in
her fav. chair and she gave her first REAL smile (you know
the type that make you cry!) O2 and all she was just so
happy to be in her quiet home! So was I, I will never
forget that wonderful smile. I must have 6 pics of that
one smile (even if its with the o2 line!) Submitted by Jessica,

When my
husband and I found out we were having another baby, we
told our son Josh who at the time was 4. He was very
excited about it and a few months later we went for the
ultrasound. When we were walking into the doctors office
we explained that today we would learn whether he was
going to have a baby brother or a baby sister and the
first thing he said was, "I want a brother or a
puppy!" We thought it was the cutest thing. Submitted by Alicia,

"Many
times when Tarynn is about to take a nap and I would nap
with her, she would put her nose to mine and snuggle.
I would open my eyes at times and find she is looking at
me as if she's checking to make sure Mommie is still
there. It touches my heart each and every time." Submitted by Tawnya,

"Hayden
is a big boy and loves to eat. We swear his first
words even though he has yet to say something was I'm
hungry. One day Hayden was playing on the floor and
it was time for his bottle. I went into the kitchen
and got his bottle and walked back into the living room.
When Hayden saw his bottle he started laughing and we
believe he was trying to get up and run to me. The
look on his little face and the sounds he was making were
priceless." Submitted by Michelle, Wheeling WV
"The
birth of my first born child. how can I not stop thinking
about the first time I saw my baby that I've been
thinking about the past 9 months. How can I not stop
thinking about how it felt to hold my child for the first
time in my arms. How can I not stop thinking about how my
husband was on the verge of tears at that moment that you
all become a family. He took our son and sat down with him
alone for a good 10-15 minutes right after he was born and
had their father-son initial bonding time. I will never
forget that day. It was the best day of my life!" Submitted by Kimberly,

"Right
after I gave birth to my daughter Zoe, the nurses were
cleaning her up to bring to me. She wouldn't cry,
nor make a noise. I was scared to death. Then
as they laid her in my arms for the first time, she made
the most beautiful cry. She sounded almost like she
was meowing. It was beautiful. But what
touched me most was that when I took everything off of her
to check her over, Zoe lifted her hand and pointed her
finger at me while flaring her nostrils. I burst
into tears. You see...my grandfather passed away
about 1 week before she was born of cancer. And one
of the things that made him smile was seeing my sonogram
pictures and videos. It seemed to cheer him up a
little. However, my grandfather was well known for
flaring is nostrils and pointing his finger at us.
Most of the time it was just to let us know that he saw us
or was watching us. And when Zoe did the same
thing....I knew he was there watching us.
So for Zoe to do this the moment she was born, it was the
first memory that I shared with her and my grandfather." Submitted by Victoria, E.

"My
daughter and I went to McDonalds and a homeless man came
in. People were staring at him and as he started
walking back towards the back I knew that he was going to
talk to us. Sure enough. He said that he was
hungry and could he have some money for food. I said
I don't have anymore money (of which I didn't) but I would
be willing to share my fish sandwich with him when it was
cooked. He said thanks and then sat down across from
us. When I brought the sandwich back, I cut it in
half and gave it to him along with some french fries.
He ate the food, thanked us and then left. After he
was gone my daughter asked me, "Why did you give him
the big half mommy?" And I answered,
"because when we share that is what we do...we give
the other person the best". That was an
invaluable lesson to my 3 year old and she has never
forgotten it to this day." Submitted by Larell,

"My
son's bus driver was bad mouthing a mother who was never
home when the bus came. She kept saying his mom
won't be there. My son has always thought my first
name was mom and he assumed the bus driver was talking
about me. When my son got off the bus he was broken
hearted and crying. He wouldn't even look at me.
I was upset with the bus driver, but I realized how sweet
it was that my son thought I was the only "mommy' in
the world. It made me feel really special." Submitted by Charlotte.

"When
Rebecca was an infant, night sleeping was a luxury. Most
nights, I placed her in her car seat on the dryer. One
night, she'd fallen asleep, and I placed her car seat 2
feet away from the stairs while I went up to get some
sleep. Our house alarm was on, and if she somehow managed
to get out I assumed the alarm would go off and warn me
when she passed the "eye". 30 minutes after
sneaking upstairs, we heard a soft "mommy? mommy?'
The little stinker awoke, got out of the car seat, and
crawled upstairs without setting off the alarm!" Submitted by Cynthia, San

"When my
mother was in a terrible car accident, my son and I stayed
with my parents for about 6 months. During that
time, my husband was traveling, we were missionaries.
One rare week, when my husband could be with us, he, our
son, my father and I were out in the playground.
Tommy was so trusting as a two-year-old. Time after
time he would slide down the slide, arms and legs flying,

My memory
would be the day that I finally got to bring Cade home. He
had to spent extra days in the hospital under the billy
lights, because of jaundice. After 9 months of
anticipating bring my baby boy home with me, I didn't get
to for several days, which broke my heart. With recovering
from a C-section and trying to breastfeed, which my milk
wasn't coming in very good. It all was just overwhelming.
Finally the day arrived, Cade came home and I cried and

Justin is a
pretty wonderful boy. We just bought a new home and
were relaxing in our indoor Jacuzzi one evening. Out
of the blue I asked him, "Who loves you,
Justin?" Justin said, "Mommy does!"
I asked him, "How much?" He jumped high

said, "Many Much!" Submitted by Teresa, Palm Coast FL

was playing with the baby, tickling and laughing.
